Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee

Dear Cass County Democrats,

On November 7th, the choice for change was never more clear. The American people voted to place their trust and hope for the future in the hands of the Democratic Party. Now it is time to answer the people's call for change.

See the 100 Hours Agenda
Americans everywhere are counting on the new Democratic majority to restore integrity, civility and fiscal responsibility to our Nation's Capital.

As Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi did not waste any time leading our country in the new direction it deserves. Speaker Pelosi put forth an aggressive agenda for the first 100 Hours focused on reinstating strict pay-as-you-go budgeting rules, broadening college opportunity, and enacting the 9/11 Commission recommendations while simultaneously continuing to work to change the course in Iraq.

Only a few hours after being sworn in, Democrats passed legislation that would finally bring an end to the culture of corruption and ensure honest leadership started on day one of the new Congress. Delivering on what we promised in Speaker Pelosi's "100 Hour Plan" shows the American people that Democrats are prepared to be an effective governing majority.

As the new Executive Director of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC), I will continue to send you breaking news on all of the great work achieved by the Democratic majority in its first 100 Hours. I invite you to learn more by going to the DCCC's 100 Hours page and encourage you to check back frequently as progress is made.

See What's In Store for the First 100 Hours

We campaigned on issues that address the most urgent needs of the American people. Now that Democrats are in the majority, we will work tirelessly to enact these priorities to improve the lives of the American people. House Democrats will not let the voice of the American people be silenced again.

See What's In Store for the First 100 Hours

I was proud to watch as Speaker Pelosi took the gavel and became the first woman elected Speaker of the House. Her first commitment is to bring a new direction to America with both a change in critical domestic policies as well as helping to chart a new course in Iraq. Now that our new direction is becoming a reality, I hope you will continue to stand with us.

Sincerely,

Brian Wolff
Executive Director
